Job Description

Our client in the Textile Manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join their team. This pivotal role focuses on organizing production according to demand and quality standards, ensuring goods are produced on time and distributed profitably.Responsibilities:

• Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimal delays.
• Determine the necessary manpower, equipment, and raw materials to meet production demands.
• Assign workers and other staff to specific production operations.
• Schedule shifts according to production needs.
• Monitor jobs to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
• Address issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Obtain and analyze output information (e.g., number of finished products, percentage of defects).
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
• Keep paperwork organized and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a production planner.
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
• Experience with MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning).
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong skills in math and statistics.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Grade 12 qualification.
• Further education or certification is preferred.
