Production Stock ContollerJob RoleStock Control and Monitoring
Anticipate supply and demand fluctuations, by implement effective forecasting strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels, to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock situations.
Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) or suitable stock rotation methods, to minimise product obsolescence, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
Overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and products used in the manufacturing process.
Keep updated inventory records, including daily production output, deliveries and stock issued from stores, to facilitate efficient stock monitoring and replenishment.
Inspect outgoing stock and ensure all paperwork is in order before being dispatched.
Oversee and monitor proper storage of products, to prevent damage and ensure product safety.
Manage and document stock movements of work in progress items between the different factories.
Inspecting incoming materials for quality and accuracy and rejecting or returning defective or incorrect items.
Conducting regular audits to verify inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborating with production, procurement, and other departments to coordinate material requirements and ensure smooth operations.
Data Management and Reporting * Submit purchase details, including vendor information, invoices, and pricing, to the internal database, by facilitating smooth procurement processes to maintain adequate stock levels.
Submit all delivery paperwork to the creditors clerk and maintain copies for filing and tracking purposes, to ensure the recording of all stock movements.
Generate reports on stock levels, production output, deliveries, and discrepancies to provide insights for informed decision-making.
Resource Management * Determine resource needs within own area of responsibility to achieve individual role outcomes.
Request required assets and resources for the fulfilment of work duties to attain quality work outputs.
Use assets and resources optimally within own area of responsibility.
Monitor and maintain stock supply levels, by request quotes when necessary and retain an updated database, to ensure well-managed stock and updated records contributing to operational readiness.
Stakeholder Relations * Engage with all relevant Departments on issues of the area of specialisation, as directed by the Manager.
Communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders, where required, to achieve work objectives and to maintain relationships.
Interact with various internal and external stakeholders, by demonstrating good verbal, written, interpersonal and organisational communication skills, to ensure effective communication fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders.
RequirementsQualifications and Experience:
Grade 12
Certificate (NQF5) in Stock Control or equivalent
Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in an office administration position, preferably in the manufacturing environment.
Ability to work with the full Microsoft suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Valid Drivers License
