SUMMARY:
Our client in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a production superintendent to join them in the Uthukela District of Kwazulu-Natal. Must understand processed meats and preparation thereof.POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Production Supervisor (Polony/Cold Meats)
Geographical area: Uthukela District, Kwazulu-NatalThe successful incumbent will be responsible for:
- Managing / Monitoring production process
- Ensuring personal hygiene checks are done on all staff before production begins
- Planning daily order for production
- Ensuring all staff follow SOPs for the company
- Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process
- Ensure an efficient handover to the next shift
- Perform proper root cause analysis on all deviations found
- Ensure the consistency of product, in terms of texture, temperature, appearance, quality of the raw material used.
- To identify bottle necks in your process and address the root cause of the bottle neck
- Knowledge of department production processes, materials, and production techniques
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
- Matric
- 3-5 years in production supervisor role
- 5 years experience in meat/poultry industry
