Job Title: Production Superintendent - Mining IndustryLocation: Mpumalanga, South AfricaJob Type: Full-time, PermanentRPO Recruitment's client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Superintendent to join their mining operation in Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining operations, safety management, and production improvement strategies.Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day production activities at the mine, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production goals
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize mine output
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
- Lead a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, engineering, and geology to ensure smooth operations
- Surface Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines OR Degree in Mining Engineering and Surface Blasting Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years' experience at a Production Supervisor Level in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and safety procedures
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Salary: Negotiable
