Production Supervisor

Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our fast-paced food packing operations in Cape Town. As a key member of our production team, you'll oversee daily activities, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Your goal will be to achieve production targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet targets and deadlines
- Implement and maintain efficient operating procedures to optimize productivity and reduce waste
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, quality standards, and workplace safety protocols
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure excellent performance
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to plan and implement production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to identify areas for improvement
- Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in an FMCG food packing environment
- Relevant qualifications
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and workplace safety protocols
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
