Job Purpose

The Production Supervisor is responsible for effective and accurate management and control of inventory and staff within the production area ensuring good wholesale and distribution practices are applied.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & REQUIREMENTS:

Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office / Syspro / Translution an advantage, not essential

Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Effective verbal, writing and listening communication skills

Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively

KPI's for this role:

Teamwork Supervise employees (Team of 50)

Ensure efficient and accurate Supervision of picking, packing and checking functions

Ensure that order processing within required turnaround times (interbranch transfers and sales orders)

Oversee the receiving team: Ensure accurate receiving of stock

Ensure safe and proper stacking of inventory

Adhere to compliance and standard operating procedures (SOP's)

Oversee the stock controllers and ensure accuracy of the stock count by regularly spot checks done.

Attainment of daily operational targets

Report on daily performance and order status to Factory Manager

Management of quality and output levels

Set daily targets and deadlines for subordinates

Equipment and maintenance management

Performance management, discipline, and training of subordinates

Maintain a safe working environment

Ensure compliance to all policies and procedures
