Production Supervisor
Job Description
Who are we looking for?We are looking for a Production Supervisor who completed Grade 12, who has 5 years of production supervisory experience in the Steel industry and someone who has excellent communication skills. Our ideal person can resolve conflict without escalating it and who is very well-versed in computer programmes.What will this person be responsible for?Our ideal person will be responsible for- Training and development of staff- Identifying deviations, planning and implementing corrective actions to ensure attainment of the production plan.- Complying with the requirements of the protocols of the plant and the company .- OHS management- Communications with staff and the rest of the plant (meetings, reports etc)- Determining schedules, assignment work and managing the performance of assigned staff- Monitoring plant performance.- Investigating opportunities for improvement and developing, implementing, and controlling action plans to realize the improvement.- Monitoring compliance with mining standards and legislative requirements-Continuously ensure strategic involvement in area-related problems.The proverbial "cherry on the top" will be for this person to have an excellent track record of working with Unions including working with Shopstewards.Is this you?
