Production Technician

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare production consumables (e.g., Teflon).
- Ensure machines are ready for production (perform Teflon changes, seal wire inspections, and sealing head setups).
- Set up machines (plugging in power, pneumatic connections, and testing operations).
- Organize machine layout (moving tables and machines as needed).
- Assist with machine maintenance (tightening bolts, replacing simple parts).
- Follow safe operating practices while working on machinery.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the work area.
- Utilize problem-solving techniques to diagnose and rectify equipment issues, seeking support when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Matric + N2 qualification (mandatory).
- Forklift license (required).
- Physical strength to move tables and machines.
- Strong technical aptitude with basic mechanical experience.
- Strong numeracy skills and familiarity with measuring tools.
- Good attention to detail and learning potential.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Self-motivated and a team player.
- Willingness to work night shifts and overtime as needed.
- Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Ottery, Western Cape before starting work.
