Job Description
A leading vegetable seedling company in South Africa has a Production/Operations Lead position available at their vegetable seedling nursery situated in the Western Cape.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Commercial seedling production according to international quality standards.
- Daily planning and implementation of irrigation and pest control programme.
- Implementation of production and operational activities.
- Guide and manage the production team.
- A tertiary Qualification in agriculture or horticulture.
- Experience in intensive vegetable farming will be an advantage.
- Computer Literacy (word, excel, power point).
- Fluent in English & Afrikaans: write and speak.
- Ability to work in a team, delegate and follow up.
- Ability to work in smoke free environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Own Transport.
