We have an amazing opportunity for a Professional Geometric Design Engineer based in South AfricaIndustry: EngineeringLevel: Mid - SeniorKey Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional registration with ECSA.Proven experience in geometric design engineering, preferably in transportation infrastructure projects.Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.Strong understanding of geometric design principles, road alignment, and intersection design.Knowledge of relevant design standards and regulations (e.g., AASHTO, MUTCD).Experience with geometric design analysis, including sight distance calculations and geometric compatibility assessments.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including planners, engineers, and stakeholders.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design solutions.Familiarity with project management processes and workflows.Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reports, presentations, and client interactions.Personal Attributes:Strong problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDetail-oriented with a focus on qualityStrong organizational and time management skillsIf you would like to apply for this position, please send your CV through to or contact us at XXX-XXXX.
