Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of PracticeKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASDeliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional teamIdentify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environmentProvide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventionsCreate a learning environment that builds staff competenceEnsure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately chargedREQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
Degree / Diploma in General NursingDESIRED EDUCATION:
Midwifery; Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in relevant specialty areaDESIRED EXPERIENCE:
: 1 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialized unitREQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Infection prevention and control
Pharmacology
Scientific nursing principles and process
Nursing record keeping
Patient assessment skills
Nursing processes and procedures
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
Relevant nursing legislation
Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards)
