Job Description

Good health and quality of life is what motivates us to provide healthcare solutions and provide support to those who needs it most.The successful candidate will be required to support initiation of HIV infected clients on ART and ensure full implementation of the 90 90 90 activities. The successful incumbent will be required to travel and work in various communities.Key duties and responsibilities:ART Initiation

  • Initiate newly diagnosed HIV positive clients on ART daily.
  • Reconcile clinical materials and ART medication from facilities in catchment area kept.
  • Submit reports of ART initiations done to facilities and Anova
  • Keep accurate records of ART initiations done.
HIV Prevention
  • Dispense PrEP and keep the records.
Project Support
  • Review HTS and ART registers.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Trace clients and report on outcomes.
ART initiations logistics
  • Ensure blood specimens are transported to the laboratory.
  • Engage facilities in catchment areas for bidirectional referrals.
Team Building Support
  • Delegate duties to CLOs as agreed with HTS Coordinator and Project Manager.
  • Provide counselling on ethical conduct at work.
Perform any other tasks as agreed with line manager.Minimum qualifications and experience:
  • A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse
  • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
  • NIMART trained and certified as competent to work independently.
  • Must have a dispensing license.
  • At least 4 years experience in working at a clinic (PHC or CHC) community.
  • At least 2 years NIMART experience.
  • Familiar with latest HIV Management, TB and PMTCT guidelines.
  • Experience in supervising teams, essential.
  • Light vehicle drivers license, essential.
Skills, competencies, and attributes:
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Word, Excel).
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and deadline driven.
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
