Job Description
On-site / Permanent MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBWe are looking for Professional Nurses for our Cardiothorasic Critical Care, Cardio Coronary Care and Cardio High Care units to deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Degree / Diploma in General Nursing
- Midwifery;
- Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in relevant specialty area
- 2 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
- Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
- Pharmacology
- Scientific nursing principles and process
- Nursing record keeping
- Patient assessment skills
- Nursing processes and procedures
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
- Relevant nursing legislation
- Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards)
- Risk identification
- Important: A clear criminal record is required.
