NACOSA is looking for suitably qualified Professional Nurses to oversee and personally provide a broad range of the Gender Base Violence services, holistic, and quality clinical services to survivors entering the health facilities.in Free State, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and Western Cape ProvincesThe Professional Nurse coordinates with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure clinical services are rendered effectively and a bettered health outcome is realised for beneficiaries. The role is also responsible for broad oversight related to programme implementation, finances, and stock control activities, monitoring and evaluation of activities.THE KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS ARE:

• Responsible for direct implementation of the GBV (response) Programme in health facilities.
• Consult and provide preventative, curative and rehabilitative treatment/health care to GBV survivors on various clinical aspects (Adult Curative care inclusive of communicable, non-communicable diseases).
• Responsible for minimum package of care as a first line to a GBV survivor
• Attend court proceedings as expert witness, if required
• Keeping accurate, up-to-date records of medical supplies, equipment and drugs in own area of operation.
• Participating in meetings: networking and stakeholder engagement
• Keeping abreast with new clinical developments e.g. training, in-service training, reading journals, policies, and procedures related to job.
• Assisting with setting of goals, objectives and interventions for quality service delivery.
• Implementing and maintaining Quality assurance programmes:
• Supervision and mentoring of GBV staff in the facilities
• Communicating and making available information and advice on preventative and promotive approaches to health care e.g. GBV/ HIV/TB/SRH, particularly in the context of the programme.
• Maintain accurate client records.

• Nursing degree or diploma and current registration with SANC
• Minimum 4 years experience in public health and NIMART certificate
• A minimum of 4 years community nursing experience.
• Dispensing license advantageous
• Certification/experience in sexual and reproductive health (particularly contraception and STI management); and HIV prevention and management
• Sound technical knowledge of PEP, PrEP, ARV, TB-HIV integration, treatment and care infectious diseases
• Experience and trained on Sexual Reproductive Health.
• Experience working in a donor-funded organisation/NGO or project-based environment and desirable to have experience working with schools
• Knowledge of national, provincial and district health structures
• Knowledge of clinical systems and data management
• Exceptional organisational and administrative skills together with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Pro-active, able to exercise discretion and independent decision-making
• Able to prioritize own workload and work towards deadlines
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Able to speak English and any other South African language
• Valid South African Drivers license and willingness to travel
