Requirements



A relevant B degree in Civil Engineering (Structures) A minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in

structural analysis and design



Must be physically fit and able to conduct site visits A Code B driver's licence, with own reliable vehicle Eligible for Professional registration with the

Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)



Key Performance Areas



Compile schedules for candidate road structures

maintenance projects.



Implementing maintenance projects ensuring infrastructure

is delivered on time, within budget to the agreed standards.



Compiling schedule of quantities, specifications and

drawings in accordance with the method of procurement.



Compiling documentation for the procurement process,

evaluating tenders, compiling tender reports and awarding



work to the appropriate service providers.



Monitoring the works to ensure compliance with

specifications, conducting regular site inspections



and meetings.



Monitoring developments from inception to handover to

ensure compliance with approved design.



Authorising and co-ordinating of the installation of services

to structures within the road reserve.
