Job SummaryHire Resolve is a leading recruitment agency specializing in engineering and construction industries. We are currently seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work with a reputable company and contribute to their success.Responsibilities

• Doing estimates
• Measuring quantities from plans to compile BOQ's
• Preparing tender documentation
• Preparing valuations
• Preparing variation orders
• Attending site meetings
• Contract administration
• Preparing cost reports
• Measuring and agreeing final accounts
• Project management
• Quality assurance
• Multi-disciplinary services co-ordination
• Team co-ordination
• Oversee projects as needed
• Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
• Public facilities building experience, preferably with government projects and knowledge of the South African tender process

Requirements

• BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with the South African Council for Quantity Surveyors (SACQSP)
• South African citizenship
• Minimum of 10 years post-Pr QS registration experience
• Project management qualification or experience is beneficial
• Analytical thinker with proven problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage and prioritize complex tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Competency in mathematical and accounting principles
• Proficiency in preparing reports, feasibility studies, and cost analyses
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent construction and general project management skills
• Willingness to mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors
• Sound knowledge of building contracts, including JBCC and CIDB standards
