Join us.The Professional Quantity Surveyor is required to be facilitate over the programme development cycle (engineering, procurement and construction) and provides quantity surveying duties pre- and/or post-contract while working as part of the project team. Performs specific and limited portions of a broader project as an experienced quantity surveyor. Guides Candidate Quantity Surveyors on works and detailed routine.Technical Excellence:Undertakes responsibilities independently and/or under very general supervision, where work is reviewed for soundness of judgement and accuracyProvides expertise and supervision utilizing more than one competence on projects of varying scope and complexityProvides expertise and supervision with completing the measurement of quantities for input into cost plans, cost estimates and bills of quantitiesProvides expertise and supervision with the preparation of tender documentationProvides expertise and supervision with viability studies and cost estimatesProvides expertise and supervision with implementing, maintaining and monitoring cost control procedures throughout the duration of a projectProvides expertise and supervision with providing necessary input related to financial claimsProvides expertise and supervision with evaluating variations, additions and omissions, etc, and incorporating these into monthly cost reportsProvides expertise and supervision with preparing, pricing and negotiating change orders with clients and contractorsComplies with all QA requirementsBenchmarks project dataResponsible for feasibility estimates, cost planning (presenting with no supervision), contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering and commercial awareness, fee generation, dispute resolution, and post contract management (competent in cost reporting).Teamwork:Actively looks for opportunities to add value to deliverables, tasks and produces high quality workEnsures tasks are completed in a timely mannerAble to adapt to changeMentorship of candidatesCommunicates with clarity & purpose Client Relationship Management:Begins to participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain/defend work, etc.QualificationsMinimum 5 years post qualification experience in a QS functionMust be registered as PrQSBachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution.Experience in CostX advantageousAdditional InformationAbility to develop key and trusted client relationships that can lead to new business.Demonstrated collaborative skills, both internally and externally.Ability to advise on complex matters to non-specialists.Superior interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and understand the importance of delivery and client satisfactionStrong analytical, literacy and numerical skillsAbility to function with minimal supervisionAbility to delegate tasks and effectively supervise othersAbout AECOMAECOM is the worldxe2x80x99s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle xe2x80x93 from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
