Our client has established a strong reputation in the financial services sector over several decades, consistently delivering high-quality, end-to-end services and investment options for their clients. As part of their business portfolio, they operate a property investment entity that includes retail, industrial, hospitality, and residential developments across South Africa and neighbouring countries.To support their operations, they are seeking to appoint a Professional Quantity Surveyor to be based primarily at their head office in Johannesburg. As a permanent team member, you will report to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and will engage in various projects, including new developments, refurbishments, expansions, and fit outs.Key responsibilities for this role will include preparing tender documents, assisting with the procurement process, managing tenant accounts, conducting tender analysis, forecasting project costs and cash flows, providing guidance on contractual claims, and implementing project risk management strategies. Additionally, you will be responsible for settling final accounts with suppliers, valuating completed work, issuing payment orders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and conducting feasibility studies on all projects.Candidates must possess a BSc Honours in Quantity Surveying and be professionally registered with the SACQSP. A minimum of 6-8 years of proven experience in retail, commercial, and residential projects-including both new builds and fit-outs-is required. Proficiency in JBCC and FIDIC contracts, as well as strong skills in QS tools and Microsoft Office, is essential for success in this role.
