Hire Resolve is currently in search of a highly skilled Professional Quantity Surveyor to join our client's reputable team in Cape Town. • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct detailed cost estimating and analysis for construction projects.
• Prepare tender documentation and participate in the bidding process.
• Evaluate contracts and manage negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide cost-related advising on various projects to ensure client satisfaction.
• Monitor project expenses and prepares regular financial reports.
• Conduct site visits to oversee progress and compliance with cost estimates.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve cost issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the construction industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or other building related qualification
• Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP
• 6-10 years of experience in quantity surveying
• Minimum 2 years experience in Facilities Management
• Proven track record of managing budgets for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management practices.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to carry out thorough financial assessments and provide accurate reporting.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to professional growth and development.
