Job Description


We are seeking a dynamic Programme Director to lead the establishment and ongoing operations of a new community center and school in the Musina area, Limpopo. This transformative initiative will focus on delivering education and training in wildlife veterinary care, conservation, and hospitality, empowering the community with skills for sustainable development and meaningful careers.Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience in education, including program development and administration.
  • Strong background in grassroots community projects, particularly in rural settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with government authorities, manage compliance, and secure necessary accreditations.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure development, including overseeing renovations and upgrades, is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Venda and English), with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • A passion for community upliftment and education.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, renovation, and upgrading of the school and training center, including working with architects, contractors, and authorities.
  • Team Leadership: Assemble and manage a multidisciplinary team, including educators, trainers, and support staff .
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with local authorities, educational bodies, and community leaders to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations. Build partnerships with lodges, farms, and potential employers in the area to create job opportunities and real-world training experiences for students. Develop relationships with sponsors, funders, and other stakeholders to secure financial and material support for the centers programs and initiatives.
  • Education Development: Collaborate with partners and design educational programs across veterinary, conservation, and hospitality sectors, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards where required.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations once the school opens, including maintenance, staffing, and program delivery.
  • Sustainability: Develop partnerships and collaborations to ensure the long-term success and impact of the project.
  • Community Engagement: Work closely with young adults from diverse backgrounds, including underprivileged communities, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
