To manage the community services and linkage team of the School-Based HIV & GBV Prevention Programme housed at Wits RHI
Location:

Key performance areas:
Managing day-to-day operations and coordination of community services and linkages
Identify the needs of the community services and linkages team and get the required resources
Develop TA approaches for implementation plans
Ensure alignment and timely completion of deliverables as per the implementation plan
Provide regular updates to both SAG departments and PEPFAR/USAID as well as the institute
Foster collaborative relationships with implementing partners including DSPs, OVC, Prevention, and DREAMS
Understand and manage team dynamics within multiple partnerships
Provide technical and logistical support to the management process such as site readiness activities and other activities required for implementation
Document processes, best practices, and success stories in the implementation of community service and linkages including challenges and develop other documents as required
Work with the DREAMS partners for smooth and effective program implementation
Leading in supervision and monitoring collaborations with implementation partners
Develop/review work plan and other strategic project documents for 1 the effective implementation of community services and linkages
Human capital planning and management with the Chief of the Party
Work with the financial manager to develop the relevant budgets and ensure compliance to the budget
Work with provincial/district managers and core teams to develop the work plans and timelines for their structures
Provide continuous strategic guidance to stakeholders
Continuous assessment of priorities for linkages
Facilitating the implementation of the organization's strategic plan
Develop project tools such as SOPs and technical guidelines
Act as a point person between partners
Facilitate synergy between internal and external partners
Support the Wits RHI Executive Director with research for related projects, papers, and presentations as determined by the Executive Director
Develop and implement a communications plan for the linkages project team
Work closely with strategic objective leads and deal with all the related strategic technical and protocol issues
Write and contribute to publications
Provide feedback to all stakeholders
Write and/or compile internal meeting reports and communications
Facilitate the ongoing communications between the consortium and external partners such as donors, sponsors, and other clinical research groups
Compile donor proposals
Compile and disseminate donor reports
Facilitate and coordinate communications across districts
In conjunction with the Communications Manager, maintain relations with the media and keep them informed on relevant study information
Develop and conduct presentations on behalf of the consortium
Attend to all linkage staffing requirements and administration
Supervise and manage the duties of subordinates to ensure optimal staff utilization and maintenance of sound labor relations
Perform and facilitate performance development and assessments
Identify substandard performance by team members and make necessary corrective action
Coach and train subordinates and team members to ensure the acquisition of knowledge and skills required by the organisation
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrate effective self-management
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained
Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback.
Take ownership of driving your career development by participating in ongoing training and development activities such as forums, conferences, policy-setting workshops, etc.
Required minimum education and training:
Master's Degree in Public Health or related field
Required minimum work experience:
5 - 10 years experience in an HIV or global health field
Minimum 3 years experience in managing projects
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
Extensive experience working with donor-funded programs and multiple stakeholder engagement
Experience with working on programs for adolescents and young women is highly desired
Experience working with the media
Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Positive, energetic team leader with an ability to adapt to complex situations
Adaptable, willing to take initiative
Strong organizational skills with an accurate approach to work, attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
