Job Description


We are looking to hire a Programme Manager who will ensure profitable project execution within the projects environment and to perform financial management and reporting for all P&C projects. As a senior member of the P&C projects team, this portfolio includes the management of projects, specifically large, multi-disciplinary projects.Skills and ExperienceWhat youll do:

  • To perform day to day management of the Projects team (including assignment and scheduling of tasks, approval of leave and performance management).
  • Mentoring of project managers throughout company (iST) and specialist project assistance with the Infor LN ERP projects module.
  • To manage the proposals process, including supporting the BD function on tenders and large proposals
  • Operational management of project division, including assigning tasks/projects, leave approvals, mentoring, etc
  • Financial governance/oversight of all PIM projects to ensure maximum profitability for the PIM business unit and company.
  • Project management of various strategic projects as required
  • Quality assurance and control with particular emphasis on conformance to customer expectations
  • Participation in the establishment, organization and implementation of short- and long-rage goals, objectives, policies and operation procedures.
  • Risk management, including technical, contractual, financial, Health & Safety and schedule risks, as well as effective change management
  • Managing the proposals (bid) process, assisting the BD function on large tenders and proposals
  • Efficient communication to all project stakeholders, in particular the customer
Your expertise:
  • 20+ years project management experience on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Leading teams: 3 years
  • Project experience: 20 years
Qualifications required:
  • Matric Certificate
  • BSc Engineering degree or similar
  • Pr Eng registration (with ECSA or similar equivalent professional body)
  • Project Management qualification (MDP Project management or similar)
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Post graduate degree (e.g. MBA) advantageous
  • Continuous training on relevant project management courses and material
