Programme Manager Planning & Development Technical KwaZulu Natal
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Planning and development of new business.
Identifying and evaluating expansion opportunities.
High level planning of potential water and related services projects.
Preparing business plans, project proposals and funding applications.
Progress reporting and team leadership.
Oversight and management of projects that are in the planning stage.
Ensure that all bid processes are followed in terms of the appointment of service providers.
Ensuring GIS and related resources are maintained.
Conduct Risk assessments and contingency planning.
Asset management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree (NQF level 7) in Civil Engineering degree with a minimum of five years relevant experience or a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Civil Engineering with a minimum of seven years relevant experience.
Registration with ECSA as Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist is required.
Water engineering in a project or planning environment will be preferred.
Proficiency in the simultaneous planning of large and small engineering projects.
Sound knowledge of public sector procurement processes and applicable legislation is required.
Well-developed skills in management, negotiation and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of potable and wastewater treatment and asset management
Computer literacy in MS Office, MS Projects, and GIS.
