SUMMARY:
Are you currently a successful SACQSP registered Quantity Surveyor with minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, ideally managing a professional team on a project in the medical environment, looking for a change of scenery?POSITION INFO:Plattekloof, Cape Town - Very negotiable salary (up to R60,000) based on Job Title, experience and qualifications.Are you currently a successful SACQSP registered Quantity with minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, ideally managing a professional team on a project in the environment, looking for a change of scenery?My client, responsible for the Programme Management of more than 100 Health Facility Projects for the Western Cape Department of Infrastructure (WCGDoI) and Western Cape Department of Health & Wellness (WCGHW) is looking for SACQSP registered Quantity Surveyor a to join their vibrant, dynamic team in Plattekloof to manage the professional team on projects and do QS reviews (Payment Certificates, Invoices, Report Reviews, etc.). You will appoint and manage all the disciplines (Principal Agent, QS, Engineers, Contractors etc.) during the building process (Initiation to close out) and report directly to WCGDoI. This is not a site-based position but rather an in-office permanent consultancy role.You may be the successful candidate if you:

• Are registered with the SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.
• Have at least 3 years experience post registration.
• Ideally have experience working with government health projects and understanding the 7 construction stages that go with it.
• Are experienced working with JBCC contracts.
• Have a relevant Tertiary Qualification as Quantity Surveyor from a reputable academic institution.
• Have excellent English communication skills (verbal & written)
• Will be able to fall in and work from the get-go with limited training and supervision as everyone are extremely busy and dont have time to train someone. The other employees in the office will gladly help where they can but sound product knowledge and computer literacy (MS Office packages) is key.
• Have the personality attributes and strong admin and managerial skills typically associated with successful Programme Managers / Project Leaders.
