RESPONSIBILITIES:To oversee and manage loading plans and supervise vessel loading, discharging, and truck operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of cargo.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Loading Plan Management

• Develop and manage detailed loading plans for cargo, ensuring optimal utilization of space and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure loading plans are executed effectively.

Vessel Supervision

• Travel to ports to supervise vessel loading and discharging operations, ensuring compliance with loading plans and safety protocols.
• Monitor the loading and unloading process to ensure cargo is handled properly and efficiently.
• Liaise with port authorities, shipping agents, and vessel operators to coordinate loading and discharging activities.

Truck Operations

• Oversee and supervise truck loading and offloading operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods.
• Coordinate with truck fleet operators to schedule and manage truck operations in alignment with loading plans and schedules.

Operational Coordination

• Ensure all operational activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during loading, discharging, and truck operations.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of loading plans, vessel operations, and truck movements.
• Provide regular updates and reports on operational activities, including any issues or delays, to the Project Manager.
• Ensure all documentation related to cargo handling and transportation is accurately completed and filed.

Specific Requirements for the PositionEssential:

• Proven experience in project control, cargo handling, or a similar role within the logistics and transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of loading plans, vessel operations, and truck logistics.
• Ability to travel to ports and oversee operational activities on-site.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook) and familiarity with logistics software.

Preferred:

• Experience with supervising vessel loading and discharging operations.
• Knowledge of port operations, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
