We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Project Cost Controller to join our clients Projects Department. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints. You will work closely with the Manager Projects and other key stakeholders to develop detailed cost estimates for all phases of projects. • Project Estimates and Budgeting: Develop and provide detailed cost estimates for all project phases, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives and financial constraints.
• Budget and Cost Monitoring and Control: Continuously monitor and control project budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to maintain financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
• Customer Service: Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to address cost-related queries and provide transparent and timely information regarding project financials.
• Contractor Management: Oversee and manage costs associated with contractors, ensuring that their expenditures align with project budgets and contractual agreements.
• Working Cost Management: Manage working costs effectively, ensuring that all expenditures are tracked and controlled in line with project budgets and financial policies.
• SHERQ Compliance: Adhere to Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ) standards, promoting a safe and compliant working environment in all cost control activities.
• Work Ethics: Demonstrate high standards of work ethics, maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all financial management activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12.
• B Tech/ B Degree (NQF level 7) in Quantity Surveying.
• Certificate in Project Management.
• Certificate in Cost Management.
• Minimum of six (6) years operational cost control, estimating and operational contract management experience.
• Registered professional Quantity Surveyor (advantageous).
