Job SummaryJob Title: Project Cost EngineerLocation: Limpopo, Greater Sekhukhune District, BurgersfortJob Type: 24 Month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hoursPrimary Industry: MiningJob Duties:
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates and budgets
- Monitor and track project expenses and analyse cost variances
- Prepare cost reports and forecasts for project stakeholders
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to control project costs
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer or similar role in the mining industry
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting techniques
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project cost engineering in the mining sector
- Advanced knowledge of cost control principles and practises
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Professional certification in Cost Engineering or Project Management
- Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field
