Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is seeking a Project Director for the anticipated USAID health supply chain activity. Anticipated to be awarded in 2025.OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIESThe Project Director is a key leadership position and is a visionary leader and subject matter expert who will drive the strategic implementation and operational excellence of our pharmaceutical systems and supply chain strengthening program. With full accountability for program success, the Director will lead a diverse team to deliver impactful results in alignment with USAID goals, contractual requirements and MSH standards.The Project Director has full accountability and authority for the development, execution, and monitoring of the program, including (1) vision and technical strategy; (2) project management and compliance; (3) documentation and communication; (4) client and stakeholder relationships; and (5) coordination and synergy with other relevant initiatives and collaboration with the National Department of Health (NDoH) and USAID. The Project Director represents the program to USAID, the National and Provincial Department of Health, implementing partners, private sector, regional and global stakeholders.More broadly, the director will lead the program team in strengthening supply chain performance and governance, pharmaceutical systems across both public and private sector. The Director will provide leadership in supporting NDoH to implement supply chain and pharmaceutical system strategies aimed at operationalizing National Health Insurance aligned with USAID mission priorities in South Africa. This will include pharmaceutical services and regulatory systems to ensure the quality, safety, and efficacy of health commodities in public and private supply chains, and to promote standards for good pharmacy practices and quality pharmaceutical services.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
