:
Plan, organize, and oversee engineering projects
Assist the Project Manager create a detailed plan that aligns with the project's goals
Make sure projects are completed on time and meet their objectives by handling all aspects of the project
Carry out technical tasks according to the project plan, such as designing, researching, developing, and testing
Work with different people involved in the project, like colleagues and suppliers, to ensure everything is on track
Predict and address any issues that might come up during the project
Follow all legal rules and regulations related to project design and implementation
Create drawings and lists of materials needed for manufacturing as per project requirements
Keep records of project details, like technical specifications, manuals, and work instructions
Keep an eye on project expenses to stay within the budget
Manage changes carefully when introducing new technologies or processes to the company
Help the Maintenance team when machines break down and figure out why it happened
Assist the quality team in dealing with customer complaints and making plans to prevent issues in the future
Look for ways to improve current processes and provide support to the team on design issues
Identify and reduce potential risks to products and occupational health and safety
Spend half of the time on designing and problem-solving and the other half on managing projects
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in the manufacturing industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong Mechanical Design and CAD skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualification:
BSc/BEng/Btech in Mechanical Engineering
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
