• Ensure compliance to the companys business conduct
• Ensure corporate governance through compliance to corporate policies
• Approve and ensure the use of any new or revised documentation considering HSEQC and functional requirements in accordance with the Management of Change process
• Review and authorise modifications to assets in accordance with the Management of Change process
• Schedule audits (HSEC, ISO, Other)
• Identify applicable legislative requirements that have an impact on the design of the project
• Assure sustainability of solutions
• Align design strategy to customer business requirements (scope of work and mission profile)
• Provide Strategic and Change Leadership to the Project Team
• Identify and understand customer needs
• Manage, maintain and improve relationships with key stakeholders
• Compile Team and Individual Performance Agreements in line with KPIs
• Conduct Performance and Talent Management Reviews
• Manage portfolio of improvement initiatives and projects
• Identify opportunities in line with Business Excellence
• Review and obtain commitment from all parties to final schedule (Sign-Off)
• Plan, organise and allocate work
• Determine resource requirements to operate and maintain facility or equipment (Labour and Cost)

• Degree or National Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience operating in the project management discipline
• Experience in coal mining and understands the nature of opportunities and issues faced by operations
• Sound knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation
• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
• Valid drivers license
• In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
• Project Management Qualification
• Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a candidate or professional Certificated Engineer
