Project Engineer Mechanical - EV - Cape TownFull job descriptionTriz Engineering Solutions is a premium product engineering and development company specializing in end-to-end turn-key commercial vehicle development. We provide end to end engineering services for commercial vehicle engineering and development from feasibility and conceptualization, through productionization and service support.Your MissionLead and support the development of advanced powertrain system of responsibility from concept through productionResponsibilitiesDevelop industry-leading solutions for areas of technical responsibilityEngage with industry suppliers and interact with engineering development teamSupport vehicle builds, testing and validationExecute engineering development processes flawlesslySet up engineering operations to support technical areas of responsibilitySetup and execute technology development roadmapsSupport site activities, customer meetings/engagements, suppliersExecute engineering development within budgetPlan and execute engineering development within budgetsDevelop responsible technical systems within cost targets and support cost reduction effortsDevelop solutions for lean manufacturing and execute engineering tasks for productionSupport engineering teams to deliver engineering tasks to support production schedulesCollaborate with internal and cross-functional teams and support in identifying critical resource needsAct as project engineers and/or liaisons engineers onsite at new customers (locations to be determined, depending on marketing opportunities).Coordination of customer site activities, e.g., customer meetings, vehicle builds and validation.Candidates must substantiate their experience with one or more of the following medium/heavy duty vehicle systems:Vehicle Layout, Packaging, and architectureLadder frame developmentSteering systemsAxle and suspensionsElectrical powertrainsEV Thermal systemsSimulation (FEA, CFD)ADAS integrationElectrical Drive Axles QualificationsBachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masterxe2x80x99s degree preferred)3 Years+ engineering experienceExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Work at the Triz Engineering home office, currently BHAMMust be willing to be relocated within US short term and long term3 Years+ experience in medium/heavy duty commercial system development process i.e., vehicle architecture, specifications, performance requirements, simulation, selecting components, integration, build and validation.Proven experience in coordinating and supporting validation activities and creating technical reports.Project management aptitudeWhere will you work?
