Job Description
INDUSTRY: Heavy Industrial ManufacturingLOCATION: Richards BayPrimary responsibilities are to:
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Interact with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnels performance) and report regularly on project status
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Management and coordination of engineering projects and studies
- Manage the front-end loading for engineering projects.
- Manage the execution of projects and studies, from concept to completion.
- Manage the interfaces between multidisciplinary engineering team, and between engineering and supply chain or construction management.
- Identify and develop the scope of work for the projects.
- Ensure all projects are delivered timeously within scope and budget
- Ensure all principles of health, safety, environment, and quality are maintained
