: THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

You are responsible for application of technical engineering expertise through the development and embedment of engineering strategies, standards and frameworks. You will ensure the process and design for new products are translated into optimised operating systems to enable safe, efficient and effective operation of facilities and infrastructure throughout its lifecycle. You will be based out of a cluster / mfg. site, reporting into operation directors / mfg. manager and oversee multiple plants under that category. You will functionally report into Lead Process engineer from policy / procedure standpoint.

Improve process capability of production lines by applying sound engineering principles to reduce variation, and continuous improvement principles to reduce waste

Set demanding and realistic targets for process improvement and ensure changes to existing processes are carried out in a systematic and logical way.

Understand the manufacturing technology involved in your category group and work with maintenance and production teams to resolve issues relating to product quality, process capability and efficiency challenges

Perform data analysis, root-cause analysis and identify and implement process improvements to support issue resolution and optimizing production processes to eliminate losses, improve quality, capacity, throughput and conversion cost.

Work with the R&D teams to support the design of new systems and processes for the introduction of new products and the improvement of existing processes

Renders a comprehensive process engineering service on projects/investigations, to all other engineering disciplines involved and the client (source/owner of the project/ investigation).

Manages and co-ordinates the process activities of the engineering group. Evaluates process capability, environmental impact, economic and value evaluation studies. May prepare recommendations for capital expenditure for projects

Support the relevant teams within the MECP pillars to enhance problem solving skills and providing technical solutions to critical issues.

Leverages communities of Practice (CoP) for knowledge management and sharing expertise
