Job Description

To provide a professional and specialist service in order to improve the SCM Unit's operations and help the Unit accomplish its objectives.
Key Responsibility AreasProvides strategic support in the process of SCM Transformation and / or re-engineering.
Formulates capital and operating budgets for the Units special project, programmes and initiatives.
Provides administrative and co-ordination support to key strategic projects.
Develops a demand management system for the Municipality.
Represents the Unit at meetings / gatherings.
Provides strategic advice and specialist input to the Head SCM and SCM Executive Team.
Facilitates the implementation of Procurement (SCM) Special Projects, Programmes and Initiatives.
Directs and manages the Units Learnership Programme.
Keeps abreast with relevant and best practices in the ongoing field of SCM.
Provides management support and perform co-ordinating functions for the SCM Unit.
Performs on behalf of the Head SCM, special assignments and / or functions.
Assists the Head Supply Chain Management in formulating strategic direction for the Unit.
Reports to the Head SCM on performance in terms of the agreed objectives, plans and budgets.

Essential RequirementsTertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) in the Supply Chain Management or Accounting or Finance or Economics field.
Project Management certificate.
Professional registration within the field of Supply Chain Management or Accounting or Finance or Economics.
Must be in a possession of National Treasury MFMA minimum competency qualification (NQF Level 6) or Must obtain a National Treasury MFMA minimum competency qualification (NQF Level 6) within 18 months of the date of appointment.
Valid motor vehicle driving license.
6 Years relevant experience.
Computer Literacy.
Preferred RequirementsPostgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in the Supply Chain Management or Accounting or Finance or Economics field.
7 Years relevant experience.
