The individual will ensure that employees are engaged and productive, that the community is engaged through local structures and that line managers are supported on all people issues.Job description Key Performance Indicators :Generalist Human Resources and Employee Relations managementGood understanding of projects and site conditionsPromote professional communication through consultation and building relationshipsPayroll, time and attendance and benefits facilitationIndustrial RelationsKey Responsibilites:Handling key HR/ IR activities which cover the full employee lifecycle from talent acquisition to termination.Drive employment equity plans and targets.Acting as a link between the project and HR administration, taking accountability for time and attendance, reporting and documentation management.Providing proper guidance and advice to line managers and employees as the custodian of HR/IR policies and procedures.Supporting the project to ensure a conducive people culture that ensures appropriate performance.Providing insights, recommendations for employee engagement and wellness initiatives.Managing all Employee Relations matters (as well as any needed Union engagement) such as disability cases, disciplinary and grievances as well as representing the company externally when required.Engaging in meaningful dialogue to ensure alignment on project with communities and clients.Advocating for employees and balancing their needs with business objectivesUnderstanding the political landscape and navigating complex relationships to build consensus, negotiating, and managing expectations.
