SUMMARY:
A cutting-edge Energy Specialist urgently seeks to fill a 6 to 12 Month Contract role for a proactive & highly driven Project Manager.POSITION INFO:ENVIRONMENT:A cutting-edge Energy Specialist urgently seeks to fill a 6 to 12 Month Contract role for a proactive & highly driven Project Manager with proven knowledge and experience of the Software Development Lifecycle and how this translates to the project delivery framework. You will plan, control and execute a set of activities to deliver a broad range of IT projects specific to applications: to agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. You will require an IT-related Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification including Project Management with 3-5 years suitable experience in project delivery, change delivery, 3rd party software vendor selection and management. You also need a solid understanding of the costs of IT (project and xe2x80x9clifetimexe2x80x9d) and the ability to cost operational IT services to identify cost saving or revenue generating benefits.DUTIES:

• Responsible for the definition, documentation and satisfactory delivery of projects.
• Maintain project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports.
• Responsible for effective Stakeholder selection and engagement for the duration of the project.
• Manage escalations when tolerances are breached in terms of cost, time and quality requirements.
• Manage resources for projects, such as computer equipment and resources.
• Coordinate Project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities.
• Implement IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget and timeframes.
• Use Project Management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence.
• Conduct risk assessments for projects.
• Organise meetings to discuss project goals and progress.

Key Challenges:

• Ensuring stakeholders are kept engaged and informed throughout the delivery of the project.
• Keeping project scope changes to a minimum.
• Driving accurate budget estimation and ensuring that actual spend is within 10%.
• Delivering within agreed timeframe.
• Managing resources across multiple geographies.

REQUIREMENTS:Qualifications xe2x80x93

• Educated to Degree level, likely in an Information Technology specialty or holds a professional qualification.
• A Project Management qualification.

Experience/Skills xe2x80x93

• 3-5 Yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience in project delivery.
• Has achieved proficiency in project management and change delivery.
• Proven, relevant experience of the implementation and delivery of changes to IT systems.
• Has proven experience of 3rd party software vendor selection and management.
• Proven leadership skills, and a good knowledge of Business Analysis.
• Understands the corporate policy framework, management structures and reporting procedures, and can see the xe2x80x9cbig picturexe2x80x9d.
• Strong planning, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in project quality management.
• Is familiar with a range of analysis, modelling and design methods; has good current knowledge of IT standards, applications and trends.
• Has sound understanding of the costs of IT (project and xe2x80x9clifetimexe2x80x9d) and the ability to cost operational IT services to identify cost saving or revenue generating benefits.
