  • Take cognisance of projects running simultaneously and identify dependencies and their impact on the respective projects and business.
Project Management & Supportxc2xb7 Develops individual project plans, goals, and budgets; identifying resources requiredxc2xb7 Collaborates with Project Sponsors to define deliverables, milestones and dependenciesxc2xb7 Develops schedules and methods for measuring and tracking resultsxc2xb7 Organizes and manages all phases of the projects to ensure on-time completion, quality assurance and the formal assessment of riskxc2xb7 Assembles and coordinates project team members; assigning individual responsibilities in accordance with skills and strengthsxc2xb7 Prepares requests for proposals and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and productsxc2xb7 Provides support and guidance to project team members and project sponsors regarding project management processes, procedures, tools and techniquesxc2xb7 Plans and oversees the preparation and dissemination of project communicationsxc2xb7 Follows the agreed RACI model during each phase of a projectxc2xb7 Ensures projects are formally closed and reviewedxc2xb7 Reviews project outcomes and experiences and distils learnings from current and previous projectsxc2xb7 Ensure that the project meets all deliverables and the project transition to operations is planned.xc2xb7 Effective transition of the project to operationsxc2xb7 Ensure that following project documents are generated and is part of the transition to operationso Project Chartero BRDo FRD`so Risk Registero Issue Registero Contracts and SLA`so Operating procedures and manualso Architecture document so Business Process Documentso Training Material Out of scope / non delivered items.Stakeholder Managementxc2xb7 Communicates with stakeholders and maintains awareness of business needs and prioritiesxc2xb7 Provides business with a monthly review of services provided and status of planned changes and enhancements.xc2xb7 Initiates customer service review meetings with Brandsxc2xb7 Handles escalations from business and is the lead with regard to Problem Management.xc2xb7 Attends and reviews management meetings with brands monthlyxc2xb7 Facilitates project meetings/workshops to report on progress, or address issues/ problemsxc2xb7 Educate stakeholders on project management principals and address stakeholders knowledge gaps.Continuous Improvement & Advisoryxc2xb7 Researchs new ideas to improve the systems for the Groupxc2xb7 Keeps abreast of industry trends and best practice and makes recommendations to Senior managementxc2xb7 Liaises with business and departmental heads to provide advice on technological matters and implementationxc2xb7 Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirementsxc2xb7 Provides advice on development, production and maintenance of business cases, time, resources, cost and exception plansxc2xb7 Advises and shares knowledge with project teams and sponsors on standards and how to complyFinancial performancexc2xb7 Ensures that projects are correctly budgeted forxc2xb7 Monitors and tracks that project spends are kept within a 5% spend margin according to budget. Escalate potential project overruns timeously.xc2xb7 Ensures that project budget overruns which include out of scope expenditures are correctly accounted for and signed off by the relevant partiesxc2xb7 Ensures project deliverables are formally approved before invoices from suppliers are paid
  • Follows up on payment of invoices should there be delays and deviations from contract terms
Supplier Managementxc2xb7 Negotiate SLA's ensuring terms, conditions and deliverables are aligned with project objectivesxc2xb7 Monitor the performance and deliverables of suppliers, vendors and /or contractors, initiating remedial action where problems arisexc2xb7 Monitor and manage the expectations of suppliers, vendors and contractors and identify and flag risksxc2xb7 Arrange and facilitate meetings between suppliers, vendors and/or contractors and the respective Project Teams as requiredChange/ Transition Managementxc2xb7 Collaborates with Project Sponsor and business leaders to define operational readinessxc2xb7 Monitors the management of expectations and reports on any risks identifiedxc2xb7 Initiates discussions and gets agreement from business regarding handovers and trainingxc2xb7 Prepares a Change Management plan for approval by the Project Steering Committeexc2xb7 Collaborate with the change manager to develop a detailed transition plan that extends to all levels in the organisation that is effected by the projects being implemented.xc2xb7 Monitor the implementation of the change management plan and provides guidance and input as required.xc2xb7 Alerts Brand and line management of resistance to change and failures to adopt the new way of work.Human Resource Managementxc2xb7 Define a career path for Support staffxc2xb7 Conduct EDW, goal settings and conducts employee appraisals.xc2xb7 Sets performance objectives for staff.xc2xb7 Establish and define succession planning for your rolexc2xb7 Draws up action plans to address poor performancexc2xb7 Ensure that staff attend regular training to ensure that they meet the requirements for their role and keep up with the maintenance thereofxc2xb7 Institute monthly reporting sessions for team leaders to track progress and compliance of systems and work donexc2xb7 Onboarding and transition to new ways of working for new and existing staff.
  • Alert line management and stakeholders of potential gaps identified with project and operational resources.

ITIL v3 Foundation
ICT Diploma
Bachelor's degree in (Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Size or Information Technology) - NQF 7 (6) Or National Diploma / Diploma in Software Development /IT- NQF 6 (5)
