Job Description

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation of home lifts, managing teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and liaising with clients throughout the installation process. This role includes a mix of site visits, administrative responsibilities, and hands-on involvement where required.Responsibilities:Attend site meetings and assess the feasibility of home lift installationsAssist with the sales process during initial assessmentsGain and maintain thorough knowledge of home lift systems (training provided)Ensure accuracy of installation measurements and layout drawingsPlan and monitor installation timelines to align with project schedulesManage and coordinate internal teams and subcontractors for safe, high-quality, and on-time installationsEnsure team members are fully utilised and productive dailyOversee the performance, leave, overtime, and daily planning of direct reportsCommunicate consistently with clients and contractors regarding project progress and delaysTroubleshoot technical issues and resolve on-site problemsHandle client complaints and attend meetings as requiredTest and commission home lifts before final handoverAssist with installations when necessaryMaintain and monitor health and safety complianceRecommend process improvements to enhance installation efficiencyApprove minor expenses and ensure adherence to out-of-town budgetsOversee credit card use, vehicle checks, and tool inspectionsVerify incoming stock and manage branch stock recordsCreate and manage project communication channels (e.g., Teams groups)Administer disciplinary steps where necessaryParticipate in weekly and monthly management meetingsTravel monthly to visit project sites along the Garden Route and Eastern CapeRequirements:Proven experience in a project management or site management roleAny project management-related qualification or certification would be beneficialProficient in English and AfrikaansValid driver's license and own vehicle (mileage reimbursed per SARS rates)Willingness to travel regularly Benefits:
