Role PurposeWe are looking for a Project Manager with Built Environment project experience for our P&DS team working in Southern & East Africa.This role will be working as part of a team delivering project management across multiple small-medium projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the assets through procurement, design and construction stages across various sectors and clients.What this job involves

• Reporting to a Senior Project Manager / Director as part of a team undertaking day to day delivery.
• Support the development of the client brief and Project Execution Plans to suit the specific requirements of the project.
• Undertake full design management and manage design teams in the development of design solutions to meet the clients expectations and budget.
• Fully manage and handle client governance and approval processes.
• Administer complex contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions.
• Assist with the compilation of tender documents and critically reviewing tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting.
• Adhere to project documentation, programs, master budget etc.
• Produce reports to suit relevant stages of the projects.
• Deliver projects within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations agreed at the business case/client brief stage, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality.
• Monitor and report on the contractors progress against the contract program.
• Manage consultant teams to ensure that the contractors design is delivered in compliance with the contract.
• Manage consultant teams to ensure that the built product is compliant with the contract.

Desired skills and experience for this

• Degree Qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in commercial / retail / healthcare / hospitality sectors is an advantage.
• Experience with Local Authority approvals and municipal / utilities / entities.
• Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential (SACPCMP).
• Experience in managing on site construction in the region.
• Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English.
• International safety qualification / recognition an advantage but not essential.
