Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and Cost Control: create, monitor, and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and forecasting.
• Risk Management: identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with water and wastewater projects.
• Technical Documentation: preparing technical documents, such as project plans, specifications, and reports.
• Quality Assurance: manage quality standards and processes relevant to the industry, ensuring project deliverables meet the required specifications.
• Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulations related to water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contract Management: Understanding of Fidic/NEC/GCC contract terms, negotiation skills, and experience in managing contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Environmental Awareness: Knowledge of environmental considerations and sustainable practices in the water and wastewater industry.

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary education with Project Management qualification advantageous,
• Project Management experience,
• Project Management Tools: Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, or other project management software used in the industry.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with stakeholders, team members, and contractors, both verbally and in writing.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance, feedback, and resolving conflicts as needed.
• Problem-Solving: Critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions effectively.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with various stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and community members, to ensure project objectives are met.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and other professionals involved in the project.
