With a focus on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, this role is based in Cape Town, and requires a professional with at least 8 years of proven experience and 3 years of experience in Renewable Energy.The primary duty of this position involves overseeing the execution of diverse Wind and Solar PV energy projects throughout South Africa, which includes contractor procurement and construction supervision.Your proficiency will play a crucial role in steering the success of our clients projects, encompassing a range of responsibilities such as overseeing competitive bidding, spearheading strategic business development, managing efficient EPC services, securing debt and equity financing, and skillfully negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with potential off-takers. In this capacity, your responsibilities will extend to project management, coordinating work packages, ensuring technical compliance, and facilitating procurement processes.Compliance with Eskom requirements for grid connection and Grid Code is a crucial aspect of this role, involving an Independent Engineer (IE) to certify eligibility. Furthermore, in this role, the ability to understand and implement construction contracts is essential.Coordinating and ensuring the successful construction and commissioning of facilities is the core focus of this role. We are looking for an individual whose skill lies in the effective communication. You should be able to translate intricate contractual terms into actionable insights for cross-functional teams and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and synergy throughout project lifecycles. You should also have extensive knowledge of the nuanced aspects of contracts in solar and wind projects, facilitating effective negotiation and risk mitigation. Ideally, you are able to showcase your capability to align project requirements with EPC and O&M agreements, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory frameworks..The Project Manager role will be based in Cape Town, but would require regular visits to project sites.
