Job Description

To provide essential support, working with the Project Manager to achieve success of the early childhood development (ECD) projects in KZN.

1. Project Administration



Conduct field visits to monitor implementation of the ECD projects. Manage the schedule, watch the project schedule, monitoring deadlines for each project task


Maintain documents which track progress.


Identify problems that impact on the progression of the project and identify possible solutions.


Draft reports

2. Project Meetings



Organise project meetings and take notes when project manager is chairing such meetings.


Participate in ECD stakeholder engagements


Assist in collecting and maintaining evidence and information emanating from implementation of both centre based and non-centre based ECD


Plan and arrange ECD awareness campaigns and activities


Co-ordinate and participate in the implementation of ECD in Kwazulu Natal


Assist in events management & execution e.g. functions and events.


Formal education entry-level required

Matric University degree in social sciences or equivalent Legal/Professional Registration

Driver's license - code B (8) Languages

Local Relevant knowledge and previous work experience required

Advanced MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Intermediate) Relevant skills required Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience 3 years' experience in implementation of ECD (an advantage)
