A trusted and rapidly growing Fund Management company with billions in assets under administration is seeking a Property Accountant to join their growing team in Cape Town .As a Property Accountant , you'll be responsible for preparing comprehensive financial statements, managing cash flow, overseeing vendor payments, ensuring timely audits, collaborating with property management, and tackling special projects, all while ensuring deadlines are met and financial accuracy is maintained.Roles & Responsibilities:Prepare monthly financial statement packages, including detailed review of the general ledger, income statement, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.Post fixed asset depreciation and amortization, and review property manager variance comments.Ensure all internal and external deadlines are met.Communicate and interact with property management teams to ensure smooth operations.Oversee cash management, ensuring timely payment of utilities, taxes, mortgages, and owner distributions.Review and post cash receipts accurately.Process vendor invoice payments and ensure timely execution.Assist in the audit process to ensure accuracy and compliance.Help prepare Construction/Replacement Reserve Draw Requests as needed.Take on special projects as assigned, supporting various tasks and initiatives.Requirements:BCom Accounting or Finance / Bachelor of Accounting / Honours in Accounting0 - 2 years of relevant accounting / property experience experienceDevelop time management and prioritization skills.Salary:R20 000 - R30 000 CTC per month (depending on experience)
