Job Summary The Property Portfolio Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of a large portfolio of properties. This role involves working closely with property managers, investors, and the executive team to ensure that all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize portfolio performance.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with property managers to create budgets and forecasts.
  • Portfolio Management:
  • Monitor and manage the financial performance of a diverse property portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee property valuations, tax assessments, and insurance requirements.
  • Manage and optimize cash flow and liquidity for the portfolio.
  • Investor Relations:
  • Prepare and present financial reports to investors and stakeholders.
  • Communicate financial performance, projections, and key metrics to investors.
  • Respond to investor inquiries and provide regular updates on portfolio performance.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks within the portfolio.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets.
  • Ensure timely collection of rents and management of accounts receivable.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate finance or property management.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, real estate markets, and investment analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
