Prototype Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Manufacturer in the automotive/aerospace industry, situated in Cape Town, is looking to employ a Manufacturing Engineer to join the New Product Development Team.
You will be involved with the manufacturing process of Prototype Models.
Responsibilities will include designing of Jigs and Tooling, Manufacturing Process design, Design for assembly, weight and cost calculations as well as all accompanying BOMxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s and ECRxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s.
You will also provide technical support to all stakeholders involved: procurement, production, commissioning, warranty department, etc.

Requirements:
Engineering Diploma or Degree xc3xa2xc2x80xc2x93 Mechanical
3 yearsxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99 Designing experience in a Manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Solidworks xc3xa2xc2x80xc2x93 non negotiable
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
Driverxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s license and own transport is essential
