Provincial Communications Manager: Kwazulu Natal

Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working together with the relevant stakeholders to plan and execute both proactive and reactive, vote-winning communications for the Party
  • Ensuring that the key messages of the Party communications are effectively delivered to the relevant targeted areas in furtherance of the strategic objectives of the Party
  • Ensuring that communication is of the highest possible standard and in line with Partyxe2x80x99s policy, standard operating procedures and the Partyxe2x80x99s brand and communications guide
  • Designing, maintaining and updating the relevant data base
  • Managing provincial social media accounts and voter contact networks in the province

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Relevant staff management experience, including on project basis or completion of the Partyxe2x80x99s Management Readiness Programme (applicable to internal candidates)
  • Experience in the field of media, marketing, social media, digital media or journalistic management
  • Relevant experience in content writing
  • Experience in conducting investigations and research
  • Experience in graphic design, video editing, photography, etc. (advantageous)
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Zoom and Smartsheet)
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
  • Valid driverxe2x80x99s licence with access to a vehicle for daily business related use
