Public Affairs Manager: Ooba Solar
Job Description
The Public Affairs Manager is responsible for engaging with municipal energy departments and key policymakers across South Africa to ensure that regulatory frameworks for residential solar power are thoughtfully developed, adopted, and implemented. This role requires a deep understanding of policy processes, the ability to influence decision-making, and the capability to build strong relationships with municipal stakeholders. The incumbent will advocate for key issues such as residential feed-in tariffs, battery aggregation, net metering, and wheeling from LV customers to the network, ensuring that these policies enable the sustainable growth of the residential solar and battery market.
Location: Cape Town (Preferred) or Pretoria (with regular travel to the Western Cape)
