QA Automation Engineer Tester/Trainer
Cape Town - Western Cape - South AfricaWe're looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team. You'll be responsible for creating and running automated tests to ensure our software is top-notch. You need to have at least 4 years of experience in QA Automation with a strong understanding of the Fintech industry and its specific challenges. Expertise in Tricentis Test Management and API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI. Proven experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow) and automation tools (Selenium, Appium). In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, performance testing). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).Type: PermanentSalary: Up to R65 000 pmArea: Hybrid in Cape TownWhat you'll do:

• Build Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Integrate with CI/CD: Set up and manage test automation frameworks to work seamlessly with our continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to define test scenarios and maintain high-quality standards.
• Execute and Analyse: Run automated tests, analyse the results, and report any issues to the team.
• Leverage Tools: Use Tricentis Test Management to efficiently manage and track testing activities.
• Manual Testing: Occasionally, you'll need to do manual testing to identify critical issues.
• Document: Keep detailed records of test cases, scripts, and other relevant information.
• Report: Regularly provide updates on testing progress, results, and quality metrics.
• Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in QA automation, BDD, and the Fintech industry.

What we're looking for:

• Experience: At least 4 years of experience in QA Automation.
• Fintech Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Fintech industry and its specific challenges.
• Tool Proficiency: Expertise in Tricentis Test Management and API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Cloud and Containerization: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Automation Skills: Proven experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow) and automation tools (Selenium, Appium).
• Testing Methodologies: In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, performance testing).
• CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Problem-Solving and Communication: Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
