Job Summary QA/QC ENGINEER-Electrical Northern Cape - De Aar EMAIL CV TO PURPOSE To ensure that all electrical aspects of the PV system, from the panels to the electrical infrastructure, are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards. RESPONSIBILITIES xe2x80xa2 Develop, implement, and enforce quality standards and procedures specific to the electrical aspects of PV projects. xe2x80xa2 Review electrical designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and project requirements. xe2x80xa2 Inspect and approve electrical materials and components, including solar panels, inverters, wiring, and junction boxes, to verify their quality and suitability. xe2x80xa2 Conduct on-site inspections to verify that electrical components and wiring are installed correctly and according to design specifications. xe2x80xa2 Enforce safety protocols to protect workers during electrical installation and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards. xe2x80xa2 Oversee and participate in the testing and commissioning of electrical components to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. xe2x80xa2 Verify that electrical protection systems, such as surge protection and grounding, are correctly installed and functioning. xe2x80xa2 Review and maintain comprehensive records of project documentation related to the electrical aspects, including electrical schematics, as-built drawings, and equipment manuals.
