Closing Date: 11/06/2024Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based at Supply Chain, Springs.The successful candidate will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive site compliance to Food Safety & Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Operate as the Quality & Food Safety subject matter expert (SME) to ensure the delivery of consistent high-quality products in trade.
  • Manage QESH documentation, audits, and reviews.
  • Ensure alignment between QESH systems.
  • Manage non-conformances, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Develop and implement Food safety and QMS training programs at site.
  • Ensure QESH governance systems adherence throughout the site.
  • Develop new standards for implementation.
  • Develop and drive GMP's and the relevant oPRP's and PRP's across the site.
  • Manage SLA adherence of suppliers and service providers.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in biological / food sciences.
  • 10+ Years relevant experience in a FMCG environment.
  • Food safety & QMS SME.
  • Previous experience in the implementation and management of QMS e.g. FSSC 22,000; ISO 9001 / 14,000 / 18000.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical site implications.
  • Proven advanced computer literacy.
  • Ability to develop competencies and transfer knowledge and skills to all relevant employees.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills (verbal; written; presentation).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong ability to translate concepts and strategies and put it into documented processes.
  • Strong ability to facilitate complex problem-solving processes.
  • Influencing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in complex, pressurized environment.
  • Resilience - to be able to keep issues and situations in perspective and react appropriately.
  • Excellent self-management skills.
